John Lennon’s Wives: Yoko Ono & Cynthia Lennon Come Together For Rare Photo

Julian Lennon’s photo exhibit opening at the Morrison Hotel Gallery on September 16, 2010 made for a great  and rare photo opportunity.  Julian along with his brother Sean Lennon took a photo together with their mothers Cynthia Lennon and Yoko Ono.  Considering that in 1968, Cynthia came home to find her husband John sitting cross-legged on the floor with Yoko in matching white robes, and then saw Ono’s slippers outside the their guest bedroom door, it’s nice that she let bygones be bygones…

John Lennon’s wives even exchanged a hug…

In 2006, Cynthia and Yoko made their last public appearance together as she and Julian attended the Las Vegas premiere of the Cirque du Soleil production of The Beatles Love.  They also once met up for a meal together with their sons (below) in 1989 at Hard Rock Cafe in New York City.

Also at the premiere was John’s girlfriend May Pang whom he dated while he was separated from Yoko in 1973 and 1974.

This is just to show to the public that they're in peace with each other but deep inside I highly doubt it.

There is a good interview with Julian about this event. http://youtu.be/_PFcMH-gzUU
One of Julian’s comment about his relationship with Yoko is that HE decided to let by gones be by-gones, because he loves his brother. And that if he shows bitterness towards Yoko he would be hurting his brother Sean.

I’d say that’s a very selfless attitude considering how Yoko treated him as a child and kept his father away from him for years.
