The Beatles “Yellow Submarine” Characters Were Based Off Of Their Look In “Strawberry Fields Forever” Promo Video

The Beatles animated characters in the “Yellow Submarine” movie were based on their appearance in the promotional film for the song “Strawberry Fields Forever” filmed in January 1967.  The only major difference in their appearance was Paul McCartney missing his moustache.
