The Black Sabbath classic self-titled debut album cover features a creepy black-clad figure in front of an old building.
Although it looks like a painting, the album cover was photographed by Keith MacMillan (aka Marcus Keef) using technique called ‘false colour photography’ which makes green colours appear pink as well as other distinctive changes to conventional ‘true colour’ photography.
The photo was taken in front of the 15th century Mapledurham Watermill on the River Thames in Oxforshire, England.

Not much is known about the eerie woman used in the photo other then she was a model/actress hired for the day and her name was Louise. Here’s a close-up of the mystery woman.
It has also been said that she is holding a black cat in the photo but I can’t make it out.
