Before joining Nirvana in September 1990, Dave Grohl was a member of  Scream, a hardcore punk band based out of Virginia.  He played drums on Scream’s 4th and 5th albums “No More Censorship” and “Fumble“.

After recording “Fumble“, Scream called it quits in late 1990 leading Grohl free to famously join Nirvana.  Here’s a photo of Grohl on August 17, 1991 with Nirvana at the video shoot for “Smells Like Teen Spirit“.

Not sure if this was planned but DG wore a tee shirt from his old band Scream for the shoot.

As classy as Dave Grohl is, I’m sure he wore the shirt as a salute to his old band mates.  Here’s the video…
