John Frusciante Once Dissed Kurt Cobain But Later Covered Nirvana’s Lounge Act

During the now famous 1994 VPRO interview, a really drugged up John Frusciante was asked, what he thought when he heard the news of Kurt Cobain’s death?

Nirvana whom opened for the Red Hot Chili Peppers during a portion of The Pepper’s 1991 Blood Sugar Sex Magic Tour must not have made a great impression on Frusciante back then.  Seven years later though, on April 27, 2001, a sober John Frusciante covered the Nirvana song “Lounge Act” for a solo show at Johnny Foley’s in San Francisco, California.  Check it out…
