Contact prints were used to produce proof sheets from entire rolls of 35 mm negative in order to aid in the selection of images for further enlargement, and for cataloging and identification purposes. Finding the contact sheets from legendary Rock N’ Roll photo shoots has now become my newest obsession.

After Ozzy Osbourne was fired from Black Sabbath in 1979, he put together his own band consisting of guitarist Randy Rhoads, bassist Bob Daisley and drummer Lee Kerslake. A 2002 reissue of the albums was made with Daisley and Kerslake’s original bass and drum parts removed and re-recorded.
In an exclusive deal with Walmart, Journey released their the thirteenth studio album “Revelation” on June 3, 2008. The second disc of the album is another case of a band attempting to change history.
The guitar Frampton principally used on the album and pictured on the album cover is a distinctive black custom 1954 Gibson Les Paul Electric Guitar (with three humbucking pick-ups as opposed to the usual two). It was lost in a plane crash in Venezuela.
Check out this rare photo of John Lennon hitting the streets with his main  Yoko Ono and his side May Pang . The rare photo of the three together was taken in 1973 when May Pang was working as John & Yoko’s assistant and right before Lennon took of to Los Angeles with Pang for his infamous “lost weekend”.
Dave Grohl once played drums with Tom Petty, in another odd pairing, Guns N’ Roses once asked The Eagles Don Henley to fill in on drums for GN’R drummer Steven Adler while he was in rehab.
The original vinyl edition of Led Zeppelin III was packaged in a gatefold sleeve with an innovative cover and hidden quotes “So Mote Be It” & “Do What Thou Wilt” on the vinyl from Occultist Aleister Crowley.
Jack White has accused The Black Keys Dan Auerbach of stealing his music, sound, tone, etc. White has been pretty vocal about it, “There are kids at school who dress like everybody else … and there are musicians like that, too”
