On February 15, 2016 Lady Gaga performed a medley of David Bowie hits in full Bowie make-up and costumes at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards.
Gaga swept through a multi-song medley featuring many of Bowie’s most famous songs: “Space Oddity,” “Changes,” “Ziggy Stardust,” “Suffragette City,” “Rebel, Rebel,” “Fashion,” “Fame,” “Let’s Dance,” and “Heroes,” with a guitar lick of “Under Pressure.” The tribute fell flat with many people including Bowie’s son Duncan Jones who tweeted the literal meaning of the word gag or something like that.
It wasn’t that bad!!! Everyone should instead focus their attention to this ridiculous 1976 performance by Donny Osmond covering Bowie’s “Fame” on the TV show “Donny & Marie”.
Bowie turned down Dave Grohl, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Coldplay and countless others, I wonder what he thought about Donny’s cover???
When news broke that David Bowie died, Donny Osmond said he remembered covering “Fame”. Here’s what Donny said about his memorable cover…
“I thought, I’ve got to put that on Instagram, I went back and looked at it and thought, ‘Oh, this is embarrassing.’ But I did it anyway. That’s my history.”
Everyone is always mad at Lady Gaga. People lost their mind when Sean Lennon let Gaga play on John Lennon’s famous white piano.
