The reunited Guns N’ Roses began rehearsals about a month ago at an undisclosed location in the San Fernando Valley, California preparing for their Las Vegas live debut on April 8, 2016 and their Coachella Festival 2016 headlining slot.
Before rehearsals commenced, the only confirmed members of of the reunion were Gun’s N Roses 1.0 members Axl Rose, Slash and Duff. I can confirm now, from a highly respected. well placed source that the band members that have been rehearsing together daily are Slash, Duff McKagan, Dizzy Reed, Richard Fortus & Frank Ferrer.
Other things feelnumb.com can confirm:
- Axl Rose has not been in attendance and has not been seen at the main rehearsal venue.
- Neither of GN’R’s ex-drummers Matt Sorum & Steven Adler have been seen at any of the rehearsals.
- Neither of GN’R’s ex-guitarists Izzy Stardlin & Gilby Clarke have been seen at any of the rehearsals.
- The rehearsals have been running a lengthy 7 hours a day.
Dizzy Reed was part of Gun’s N Roses 1.5 since the 1990’s “Use Your Illusions” era. The newest members guitarist Fortus & drummer Ferrer were part of Guns N’ Roses 2.0 “Chinese Democracy” era.
Further solidifying the validity of this GN’R 3.0 line-up is this photo of a signed drumhead recently donated by “Guns N’ Roses 2016” for an auction to benefit the citizens of Flint, Michigan. It was posted on Facebook on March 14, 2016 from several people connected to the charity auction.
So there you have it, maybe there will be an occasional guest appearance but as far as feelnumb.com can confirm this is the band you will see at Coachella & on 2016 tour dates.
