Help Find The “Mystery Kissing Couple” in the Guns N’ Roses “Paradise City” Music Video

A few weeks ago a feelnumb.com reader sent me an e-mail attempting to get a “burning question” he’s had for decades answered.  His question:

Who is the kissing couple in the Guns N’ Roses “Paradise City” video?

I thought the question was pretty good, so here I am throwing out whatever info I have on the video and hoping we get some leads.  The Guns N’ RosesParadise City” video was mostly shot at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on August 16, 1988. At the time GN’R were still an up and coming band and they were opening for Aerosmith and Deep Purple.

The music video was released on November 30, 1988 and helped launch Axl Rose, Slash, Duff, Steven Adler and Izzy Stradlin into superstardom.  The kiss happens of 2:03.

Leave a comment below for any clues on who the “Mystery Couple” is.  I’ve had good luck when searching for names and clues before.

UPDATE: August 2019

It’s official the man in the video has been found and his name is 48 year old Michael Brinkworth of Bergenfield, New Jersey!!!  He was 17 at the time of the video and here he is a few years after the concert in the same shirt he was wearing that day.

About the Girl:

He remembers her name was Tina and she was from from Creskill, New Jersey.  Michael says,

“I met her two days before the concert at a party in Tenafly or Catskill, New Jersey. I started talking to her and told her I had tickets to the concert but didn’t have a ride to the show. She picked me up the day of the show and we got up front the minute Guns N’ Roses hit the stage. After the concert we hung out in the lot for a bit and then she left me there with my friends and I never saw her again.”

Sadly, the shirt Michael wore that day which would be a small piece of rock history “went missing” a few years ago.  If anyone has any leads on Tina from New Jersey, leave a comment below.  Thanks again Michael.

I wrote this Pink Floyd “Back Catalogue” poster story a few years ago and had no clue who any of the models were.  One by one they all left comments and reached out to feelnumb.com and now they are all accounted for.  Let’s see what happens…
