Led Zeppelin performed two sold out shows at Oakland–Alameda County Coliseum on July 23 & 24, 1977. The show on July 23 is forever memorable for the “Nurses Do It Better” shirt Robert Plant wore on stage.
But the little known thing about this show is the long lost story about Plant and the chair he is holing in the photo above and the one he is sitting on in the photo below.
Decades had passed since Plant and the chair used during the acoustic portion of Zeppelin’s set had seen each other. Finally after 33 years gone by, Plant and the chair reunited and were spotted sitting across from each other and having lunch. Here’s a photo of the long lost friends catching up.
It’s not the Led Zeppelin reunion we were hoping for but it’s a start!!!
