On February 4, 2007 Prince performed the halftime show of Super Bowl XLI at Dolphins Stadium in Miami Florida. The performance is widely regarded as the best performance ever on Super Bowl Sunday. For the iconic 12 minute set, Prince wore a killer turquoise suit designed by Lords over an orange silk high-collared top. Although never mentioned anywhere else, I assume the colors must have been planned to match the uniform colors of the home team Miami Dolphins.
In 2022, I attended the Super Bowl Experience in Los Angeles, California where to my surprise, amongst all the football memorabilia, the NFL put the historic Prince Super Bowl outfit on display courtesy of Paisley Park and The Estate of Prince Rogers Nelson.

During the performance, a torrential downpour soaked the stage and made it dangerously slippery. There was great concern that Prince and his dancers, who were all wearing high-heeled shoes, would be injured or the show would be interrupted by a slip and fall. Luckily nothing happened but here is a close-up of the aforementioned high-heeled shoes Prince wore that day.
