Geddy Lee’s “RASH” Not “RUSH” Shirt
On Rush’s current 2010 Tour Geddy Lee has been wearing this “Rash” shirt…It’s an obvious play on “Rush” and actually pretty bad ass.

They even used the same font…

Sydney fun …George Michael, as seen on the Grindr website.

The singer has been using the men-only dating website Grindr to meet buddies on a Down Under holiday. At 10.16am on Monday (In March 2010), using the profile name “Back for Wood“, Michael used Grindr to send the message “Hi there” and the picture above of himself taken in a hotel room mirror to someone he liked the look of , who happened to be just 185m away, according to Grindr GPS.
He then asked if the man was at the Hyatt, presumably the Park Hyatt near The Rocks. The man replied that he was at nearby Circular Quay and then asked: “How you going sexy?” The man couldn’t believe it when the picture of George popped up on his phone. They exchanged a few messages but they haven’t met up yet.
Seems a bit funny that he would have to use Grindr but I guess it’s better than using public restrooms….
The cover of Lenny Kravitz “Are You Gonna Go My Way” album features Kravitz facing a woman whose back is turned to the viewer.

This has been rumored to be Vanessa Paradis (Johnny Depp’s current wife), with whom Kravitz was involved with romantically and professionally at the time. Paradis moved to the United States in 1992 to work with Kravitz on a new album in English. Written and produced by Kravitz, the album, titled Vanessa Paradis, topped the French chart and briefly made the UK listings (number 45).

Here is a photo of them in the studio and below you will find the cover of the “Are You Gonna Go My Way” single from the same photo session that shows Paradis face.

In 1977 Marvel Comics published Super Special KISS full-color comic book presenting the band as superheroes. Blood from each band member was drawn by a registered nurse, witnessed by a notary public, and poured into the vats of red ink used for printing the comic at Marvel’s Borden Ink plant in Depew, New York.
Gene Simmons said, “As the Kiss comic book project moved along, someone came up with the idea of putting real blood in the ink. It wasn’t me. We got into a DC3, one of those big prop planes, and flew up to Buffalo to Marvel’s printing plant, where they pour the ink and make comic books. A notary public actually witnessed the blood being drawn.”

Here is the letter from the notary. It reads, This is to certify that KISS members, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley, Paul Stanley and Peter Criss, have each donated blood which is being collectively mixed with the red ink to be used for the first issue of the Marvel/KISS comic. The blood was extracted on February 21st, 1977 at Nassau Coliseum and has been under guarded refrigeration until this day when it was delivered to the Borden Ink plant in Depew, New York.

Check out this footage of Glenn Danzig getting knocked out by North Side Kings singer and frequent Soulfly collaborator Danny Marianinho.
Here’s the statement from Danny after the incident…
Before crazy rumors begin to spread I would like to explain what happened:
North Side Kings were to play with Danzig last night in Tuba City, Arizona. To make a long story short the whole show was a disaster and a few bands got bumped off. Mr. Danzig (or his managment??) refused to push back the original scheduled time slot so North Side Kings and Rapid Fire would have to play “after” his set. Whatever- we agreeded to play later because we drove 6 hours and didn’t feel like going home without playing.
Needless to say, as soon as Danzig was finished, the venue turned on the lights and Danzigs crew and the staging company began to take the stage apart almost instantly. I confronted Mr. Danzig backsatge while he was signing autographs and told him I thought he was an asshole because of his “rockstar” attitude and no consideration twords the FEW other bands that got bumped off tonight. In a fit of rage he turned around and slammed me into the wall yelling “fuck you motherfucker” trying to be a big toughguy in front of his fans. I -in self defence punched him in the face knocking him out as he was attacking me again. He went down, bleeding from his mouth, eyes rolled back, and in shock that he got knocked to the floor so quickly.
A friend happened to tape the entire incident and this is all documented. Many witnesses saw him attack me, and I did what any man would do.
It was unfortunate that this went the way it did -and I hoped Glen Danzig learned a valuable lession tonight - Do not lay your hands on anyone unless you can handle what may happen.
I aploigize for nothing, except for the poor little kids that had to witness this big asshole get his ass kicked in a matter of seconds…..

When the Rolling Stones released their 2005 “Rarities” compilation, a few people pointed out that the album’s cover photo is missing an important element of the original photograph: former bassist Bill Wyman.

The “Rarities” compilation features lesser-known works by the band recorded between 1971 and 2003, and the photo comes from the video for 1978’s “Respectable,” when Wyman was still very much a part of the band. Wyman’s image has been digitally removed, and somewhat sloppily as you can still see his bass cable hanging between Mick Jagger’s microphone stand and guitar.

Wyman left the Rolling Stones in 1992.
