On this night momentous night they had Sebastian Bach join them on stage to crush songs by Jane’s Addiction, Cheap Trick & Rush!!!
Chevy Metal: Covering classic rock deep cuts from Van Halen, The Stones, Tom Petty & Billy Joel the band have jammed on-stage with every member of the Foo Fighters and Jane’s Addiction as well as members of The Police, Motley Crue, Sex Pistols, Cheap Trick & Red Hot Chili Peppers just to name a few.

May 14, 2016 – Chevy Metal is a professional Rock N’ Roll cover band featuring members of the Foo Fighters that specializes in playing, as they call it “Dirt Rock & Moldy Oldies”. The band founded by Taylor Hawkins and Wiley Hodgden rocked the 60th Annual Conejo Valley Days in Thousand Oaks, California with guitarist Mick Murphy and special guest part-time Chevy Metal member Dave Grohl.
Chevy Metal has rocked the stage with the likes of Stewart Copeland (The Police), Joan Jett and most recently with Mick Jagger. Chevy Metal’s star-studded line-up is Taylor Hawkins, Chris Shiflett and Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters along with bassist Wiley Hodgden.
Chevy Metal is a “Dirt Rock” cover band that consists of Foo Fighters, Taylor Hawkins (drums) and Chris Shiflett (guitar) along with Wiley Hodgden (bass). On April 14, 2012, Chevy Metal played a private fund raising gig at Dave Grohl’s daughters school, where Chevy Metal was joined on stage by Grohl and Joan Jett for a cover of “I Love Rock N’ Roll”.
When not playing drums for the Foo Fighters, Taylor Hawkins along with bassist/vocalist Wiley Hodgden will play small bars and clubs all over Los Angeles with his cover band Chevy Metal. At these shows you never know who will show up. On this particular night at the Malibu Inn on Dec 6, 2008, Stewart Copeland from The Police surprised everyone by sitting behind the drum kit for a song.

Lemmy of Motörhead was featured as a limousine driver in the Foo Fighters 2011 music video for the song “White Limo”. Even though the video show Lemmy driving the limo, he actually needed to use a stunt driver (Wiley Hodgden) because he in fact had never had a drivers license.
WTF??? It seems to be a really bad time in the music industry for rock stars named David. First, David Evans better known as “The Edge” of U2 fell off the stage in Vancouver, Canada. Another David, Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters tripped and fell off stage during a concert in Gothenburg, Sweden.
