Layne Staley lead singer of Alice In Chains was found dead by his mother and stepfather in his 5th Floor Condo at Grandview Plaza on April 20, 2002. His mother had called Seattle police to report that she had not heard from her son in over two weeks.
Brad Nowell played his last show with his band Sublime on May 24, 1996 at the Phoenix Theatre in Petaluma, California. Sublime had just kicked off a quick five day tour a month before the release of their self-titled major label album debut “Sublime”. Here are some photos from his final show.

Soundgarden was formed in 1984 by Chris Cornell, Hiro Yamamoto and Kim Thayil. They named themselves after this wind-channeling pipe sculpture, “A Sound Garden,” located on National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration property next to Magnuson Park, Seattle.
