<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/The_Beatles_Sgt_Peppers_lonely_hearts_club_band_hi_res.jpg" rel="lightbox[13965]"><img class="aligncenter wp-image-13967" title="The_Beatles_Sgt_Peppers_lonely_hearts_club_band_hi_res" src="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/The_Beatles_Sgt_Peppers_lonely_hearts_club_band_hi_res.jpg" alt="The Beatles Sgt. <p>There were a few other famous people that were supposed to be included in the photo but for different reasons were either never made, obscured or airbrushed out of the final album cover.  A cardboard cut-out of <a href="http://www.feelnumb.com/2010/01/24/adolf-hitler-did-not-make-the-cut-on-the-beatles-sgt-pepper-album-cover/" >Adolf Hitler was made but was left out of the photo shoot</a> at the last minute.  <em><strong>Lennon</strong></em> had requested <strong><em>Jesus Christ</em></strong> but the cut-out was never made because it was only a few months after <em><strong>Lennon</strong></em> had made his famous &#8220;<strong>The Beatles</strong> are bigger then <strong><em>Jesus</em></strong>&#8221; statement.  Below you will find a different photo taken from the <a href="http://www.feelnumb.com/2010/01/21/photo-location-for-the-beatles-sgt-peppers-lonely-hearts-club-band/" >Sgt. Pepper photo shoot on March 30, 1967,</a> detailing who was missing from the final product&#8230;</p>

<p>1. <em><strong>Leo Gorcey</strong></em> - An American Movie Actor  - He was in the original photo but removed when a fee of $400 was demanded by his agent.  The image used was from the movie &#8220;Angels with Dirty Faces&#8221;.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/leo_gorcey_the_beatles_sgt_pepper.jpg" rel="lightbox[13965]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-13968" title="leo_gorcey_the_beatles_sgt_pepper" src="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/leo_gorcey_the_beatles_sgt_pepper.jpg" alt="Leo Gorcey The Beatles Sgt. <p>2. <strong>Mohandas Gandhi</strong> - Was removed, because according to <strong><em>McCartney</em></strong>, &#8220;<strong><em>Gandhi</em></strong> also had to go because the head of EMI, <em>Sir Joe Lockwood</em>, said that in India they wouldn&#8217;t allow the record to be printed&#8221;</p>
<p><a href="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/ghandi_the_beatles_sgt_pepper_lonely_hearts_club_band.jpg" rel="lightbox[13965]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-13969" title="ghandi_the_beatles_sgt_pepper_lonely_hearts_club_band" src="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/ghandi_the_beatles_sgt_pepper_lonely_hearts_club_band.jpg" alt="Ghandi The Beatles Sgt. <p>3. <em><strong>Timothy Carey</strong></em> &#8211;  An American Film and Televison actor &#8211; <em>Carey&#8217;s</em> cut-out is obscured by <strong>George <em>Harrison</em></strong> on the album cover and he can only be seen on out-take photos from the session. The image of <em>Carey</em> is from Stanley Kubrick&#8217;s movie &#8220;<em>The Killing</em>&#8220;.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/timothy_carey_the_beatles_sgt_peppers_lonely_hearts_club_band.jpg" rel="lightbox[13965]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-13971" title="timothy_carey_the_beatles_sgt_peppers_lonely_hearts_club_band" src="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/timothy_carey_the_beatles_sgt_peppers_lonely_hearts_club_band.jpg" alt="Timothy Carey The Beatles Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" width="600" height="350" /></a></p>
<p>4. <em><strong>Bette Davis</strong></em>- An American Actress &#8211; Like Carey, her cut-out was used for the photo but was obscured by <strong><em>Harrison</em></strong> as well.  She can only be seen in photo out-takes from the session.  Her cut-out image was taken from the 1939 movie &#8220;<em>The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex</em>&#8220;.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/bette_davis_the_beatles_sgt_peppers_lonely_hearts_club_band.jpg" rel="lightbox[13965]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-13972" title="bette_davis_the_beatles_sgt_peppers_lonely_hearts_club_band" src="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/bette_davis_the_beatles_sgt_peppers_lonely_hearts_club_band.jpg" alt="Bette Davis The Beatles Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band" width="600" height="350" /></a></p>
<p>5. <strong><em>Albert Einstein</em></strong> &#8211; His cut-out was mostly obscured in the final photo by <em><strong>John Lennon</strong></em> as only his hair is visible. <strong><em> Einstein</em></strong> can only be seen in the out-take photos.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/albert_einstein_the_beatles_sgt_peppers_lonely_hearts_club_band_album_cover.jpg" rel="lightbox[13965]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-13976" title="albert_einstein_the_beatles_sgt_peppers_lonely_hearts_club_band_album_cover" src="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/albert_einstein_the_beatles_sgt_peppers_lonely_hearts_club_band_album_cover.jpg" alt="The Beatles Albert Einstein Sgt. <p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/john_deacon_freddie_shirt_queen_live_wembley_stadium.jpg" rel="lightbox[13955]"><img class="aligncenter wp-image-13957" title="john_deacon_freddie_shirt_queen_live_wembley_stadium" src="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/john_deacon_freddie_shirt_queen_live_wembley_stadium.jpg" alt="John Deacon Freddie Shirt Queen Live At Wembley Stadium" width="600" height="800" /></a></p>
<p>After some research the shirt actually had nothing to do with <strong><em>Freddie Mercury</em></strong> at all.  It is a shirt made from the March 13, 1986 edition of the British tabloid <em>The Sun</em> with the headline <strong>FREDDIE STARR ATE MY HAMSTER</strong>.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/freddie_starr_ate_my_hamster_shirt_john_deacon_queen.jpg" rel="lightbox[13955]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-13958" title="freddie_starr_ate_my_hamster_shirt_john_deacon_queen" src="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/freddie_starr_ate_my_hamster_shirt_john_deacon_queen.jpg" alt="Freddie Starr Ate My Hamster Queen John Deacon Shirt Wembley Stadium" width="440" height="555" /></a></p>
<p><em>Freddie Starr</em> is an English comedian who became famous in the 1970&#8242;s.  <strong>FREDDIE STAR ATE MY HAMSTER</strong> became one of the most famous British tabloid newspaper headlines of all time and brought <em>Starr</em> much needed attention at the time as his popularity had dwindled.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/freddie_starr_ate_my_hamster_john_deacon_queen.jpg" rel="lightbox[13955]"><img class="aligncenter wp-image-13959" title="freddie_starr_ate_my_hamster_john_deacon_queen" src="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/freddie_starr_ate_my_hamster_john_deacon_queen.jpg" alt="Freddie Starr Ate My Hamster Queen John Deacon" width="300" height="400" /></a></p>
<p>The weird story was invented by his publicist at the time <em>Max Clifford</em>.  As the story goes, <em>Starr</em> had been staying at the home of <em>Vince McCaffrey</em> (who was co-writing <em>Starr&#8217;s</em> biography at the time), and his 23-year-old girlfriend <em>Lea La Salle.  Starr</em> was alleged to have returned home from a performance at a nightclub in the small hours of the morning and demanded that <em>La Salle</em> make him a sandwich. When she refused, he went into the kitchen and put her pet hamster, &#8216;Supersonic&#8217;, between two slices of bread and proceeded to eat it.</p>
<p>Crazy that anyone would believe that story.  Check out the live performance with the <strong><em>Deacon</em></strong> wearing the shirt&#8230;</p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/LL_Cool_J_Radio_Album_Cover_Boombox_JVC_RC_M90jpg.jpg" rel="lightbox[13867]"><img class="aligncenter wp-image-13868" title="LL_Cool_J_Radio_Album_Cover_Boombox_JVC_RC_M90jpg" src="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/LL_Cool_J_Radio_Album_Cover_Boombox_JVC_RC_M90jpg.jpg" alt="LL Cool J Radio Boombox Album Cover JVC RC-M90" width="600" height="600" /></a></p>
<p>I always wondered what kind of Radio Boom Box was used for the cover photo.  After some research I found out is was a JVC RC-M90 which is still to this day considered &#8220;The King&#8221; of the Boom Box.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/JVC-RC-M90_boombox_LL-Cool_J_Radio_Album_cover.jpg" rel="lightbox[13867]"><img class="aligncenter wp-image-13869" title="JVC-RC-M90_boombox_LL-Cool_J_Radio_Album_cover" src="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/JVC-RC-M90_boombox_LL-Cool_J_Radio_Album_cover.jpg" alt="JVC RC-M90 Boombox LL Cool J Radio Album Cover" width="600" height="410" /></a></p>
<p>JVC released the M90 Boombox in 1981 and it was the largest and most featured-packed model to date.  It had 8” woofers, 3” tweeters, 8 bands of tuning, Super ANRS noise-reduction and a full logic tape control system.  It also had a Phono input in the back so you can hook up your turntable.  The unit weighed about 22 pounds.  You can still find these units on Ebay but they cost a pretty penny, well over $500.00.</p>
<p>I can&#8217;t confirm if this was <em><strong>LL&#8217;s</strong></em> actual boombox but I did find this picture with <em><strong>LL</strong></em> and the JVC M90.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/prince_i_would_die_4_u_short_code_text.jpeg" rel="lightbox[13796]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-13798" title="prince_i_would_die_4_u_short_code_text" src="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/prince_i_would_die_4_u_short_code_text.jpeg" alt="Prince I Would Die 4 U Text Short Code" width="600" height="582" /></a></p>
<p>Before<em><strong> Prince </strong></em>short code (shorthand) was mostly used by journalist and reporters when writing in notepads.  <em><strong>Prince</strong></em> first used his form of short code for song titles way back in 1981 for the song &#8220;<em>Jack U Off</em>&#8221; from his <em>Controversy</em> album.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/prince_controversy_jack_u_off_text_short_code.png" rel="lightbox[13796]"><img class="aligncenter wp-image-13802" title="prince_controversy_jack_u_off_text_short_code" src="http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/prince_controversy_jack_u_off_text_short_code.png" alt="Prince Controversy Jack U Off Text Short Code" width="500" height="300" /></a></p>
<p>It&#8217;s pretty clear that <em><strong>Prince</strong></em> did not invent short code but he is somewhat responsible for bringing the short code style into pop culture.  Check out this super long list of <em><strong>Prince</strong></em> songs that use short code in their title&#8230;</p>
