During the first concert with Guns N’ Roses, in Cleveland, Ohio on November 24, 2006, the band was not well received by the crowd at all and when Axl Rose came out to perform, he asked the crowd if they enjoyed “The Pigeons of Shit Metal,”

In a 2009 interview, Axl Rose talked about the famous Guns N’ Roses’ “Use Your Illusions” group photo, in which the band is photographed in front of a huge newspaper clipping that ironically says” Dead!”
Dr. Dre realized his former band N.W.A. had made it big when he saw Axl Rose wearing a hat with the group’s logo on it in the Guns N’ Roses 1991 promo video for the song “You Could Be Mine” and also in the video for “Live and Let Die”. Dre couldn’t believe it because he and his bandmates were still struggling to make a living and had no idea their music had a white audience.
On July 2, 1991, Guns N’ Roses played at the Riverport Amphitheater in Maryland Heights, Missouri, just outside of St. Louis and during a performance of “Rocket Queen”, Axl Rose jumped into the audience and tackled a fan who was filming the show with a camera.
It’s amazing that most people do not know that when Jim Morrison sings Mr. Mojo Risin on “L.A. Woman” that he is using an anagram for his own name Jim Morrison.
In 1991, after the release of Blind Melon’s disappointing E.P. on Capitol Records called “The Sippin’ Time Sessions”, Shannon Hoon became re-acquainted with Axl Rose of Guns N’ Roses, an old friend of his sister from their small hometown in Lafayette, Indiana.
Was Axl Rose actually a fan of Nirvana??? In the music video for the Guns N’ Roses song “Don’t Cry”, a Nirvana baseball hat is visible to the side of Axl’s left leg when he is lying down in the psychiatrist’s office.
