After the death of Kurt Cobain, Nirvana was obviously finished. Dave Grohl wondered if his future might be in drumming for other bands. In November 1994, Grohl played Saturday Night Live with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers filling in their recently fired drummer Stan Lynch.
