It was claims to have been taken in Seattle on March 26, 1994, 10 days before his death and the day after the infamous Cobain drug intervention.

I recently came upon this early Nirvana photo taken on June 24, 1989 at Al’s Bar, Los Angeles, CA. The photo shows Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic on-stage along with rhythm guitarist Jason Everman and drummer Chad Channing. The first thing I noticed was the awesome Elvis Presley – Alice Cooper Nirvana Poster behind the band!!!
The Kurt Cobain Urinal Photobomb!!! Most likely taken in 1989, this Nirvana “Bleach” era photo of Cobain taking a leak and still photobombing Jonathan Poneman (the co-founder of Sub Pop) and Matt Lukin of Mudhoney is an instant classic.
In 1993, Nirvana filmed their award winning video for the release of the “Heart Shaped Box” single. At the time, the little girl in the video was rumored to be Cobain’s younger half-sister from his mom’s side named Breanne (Brieann) O’Connor.
Check out this cool photo of Justin Bieber rocking his famous snapback hat and camouflage jacket. Oh $hit, my bad it’s Kurt Cobain!!! Coincidently, Nirvana played their last show was on March 1, 1994 on the same day Mr. Bieber was born.
In 2009, another member of Nirvana made a cameo appearance with the late Robin Williams in the black comedy “World’s Greatest Dad” written and directed by an old Nirvana friend comedian Bob Goldthwait. Krist Novoselic stars in a non-speaking role as a newsstand dealer.
In 1987-1988 songwriters Eugene Kelly and Frances McKee from Glasgow, Scotland known as The Vaselines released 2 EP records with a combined total of 7 songs. Of those 7 songs mega-fan Kurt Cobain would cover 3 of them with Nirvana. Cobain labelled the duo his, “favorite songwriters in the whole world”.
Check out this iPhone video I recorded of Grohl speaking about the influence of The Beatles as a band and of Ringo Starr’s influence on his own drumming. It’s a great straight from the heart unscripted question and answer about Ringo…
I mess up on feelnumb.com all the time and trust me, the moment I do everyone lets me know what an idiot I am. Feelnumb.com is a small one man operation but you’d think Rolling Stone Magazine, The Huffington Post and the BBC would have a whole staff dedicated to proof reading and making sure everything is perfect.
Dave Grohl on his Black Flag tattoo: “When I was 12 or 13, I gave myself a Black Flag tattoo, prison style, with a needle and pen ink.” Years later Grohl didn’t forget about his childhood heroes and paid homage to Black Flag by playing a Dan Armstrong Luctie Guitar.
