I’ve heard a few different 8-bit (video game) covers of songs before but this complete 8-bit version of the Radiohead album “Kid A” is by far my favorite.
Radiohead released their groundbreaking album “OK Computer” in June of 1997. With it’s release the band included several unconventional promotional items that have now become collectables.
In putting this list together, I was quite surprised at the quality of bands that have siblings in them. Which of these bands do you think is the best “Band Of Brothers”. Here are the nominees…
In January 2010, while recording “The King Of Limbs” album Radiohead wanted to get away from the dismal English winter and relocated their studio to the Hollywood Hills for three weeks. It was rumored that the home used to record was the home of actress Drew Barrymore. Barrymore was even photographed at Radiohead’s Haiti benefit concert in Los Angeles in February 2010.
Radiohead announced that it will release their eighth studio album on February 19, 2011 titled “The King Of Limbs.” The phrase ‘King Of Limbs’ supposedly relates to an ancient pollarded oak tree in Wiltshire’s Savernake Forest, about three miles from Tottenham House, a country home where Radiohead recorded part of ‘In Rainbows’. This makes sense since this is the band photo Radiohead is using for press on this album…
Believe it or not??? Radiohead’s debut album “Pablo Honey” was named after this Jerky Boys skit…”Pablo, honey? Please come to Florida!”
Radiohead allowed it’s concert in Prague, Czech Republic on August 23, 2009 to be filmed from a variety of angles, and then gave the bootleggers the soundboard masters of the audio.
Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood must be a fan of Honda because not only did he stick a Honda logo sticker on his Fender Telecasters Plus and he also has been seen wearing a Honda logo shirt as seen below.
