John Lennon, George Harrison and Paul McCartney all chose what famous people would appear photographed with them on The Beatles “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” album cover. There were a few other famous people that were supposed to be included in the photo but for different reasons were either never made, obscured or airbrushed out of the final album cover
The album covers for Mötley Crüe first two albums “Too Fast For Love” (1981) and “Shout At The Devil” (1983) are nearly exact copies of album covers by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

When McCartney released his second solo album “Ram” in 1971 it included several sly digs at Lennon and his former band. It also included a photo of what Paul thought The Beatles were doing to him.
The Paul McCartney album “Run Devil Run” was inspired by a herbal medicine (Pagan) shop in what McCartney called the “funky” part of Atlanta, Georgia. McCartney’s inspiration for both the title song “Run Devil Run” the album title occurred when he and his son James stopped by Miller’s Rexall Drugs shop in January of 1999.
On March 25, 1966, The Beatles took the photos that would become their most controversial photos ever taken. The infamous “Butcher Photo Session” would later provide the short-lived album cover for The Beatles US release of “Yesterday And Today” before they were destroyed and or pasted over.

McCartney wrote the song and his version was the one released by The Beatles on “Let It Be”. Lennon’s version was recorded during The Beatles “Get Back” sessions.
Did John Lennon invent the art of “Making It Rain”? Not really but that photo of Lennon was obviously taken well before any of these guys “Made It Rain” or used money as a photo prop.
