“Dimebag” Darrell Abbott was tragically shot onstage on December 8, 2004 while performing with Damageplan at the Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio. Months earlier “Dimebag” had asked one of his idols Eddie Van Halen for a black and yellow-striped Charvel electric guitar (“Bumblebee”), which was pictured on the back cover and inside sleeve of Van Halen II album.
Bob Marley’s final concert was at the Stanley Theater in Pittsburgh, Pa on September 23, 1980. Two days before this concert, Marley collapsed while jogging in Central Park, New York. He had just played his biggest concerts ever, two sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden while nearly fainting.
