On June 2, 2010, Paul McCartney received the 3rd Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song which was presented to him by President Obama at The White House. My favorite performance was from Jack White who covered The Beatles song “Mother Natures Son” but he mashed it up with “That Would Be Something” a McCartney solo song from his first post Beatle release the self title album (McCartney).

What book is Bob Dylan holding on the cover of this greatest hits album from CBS Records? You can only see the back cover and can’t see any visible text. Any help would be great, we will give you a shout out on feelnumb.com if you know.
These two shirts that Axl Rose wore during Guns N’ Roses Use Your Illusion Tour era always stood out to me. First, is this Jesus Christ with a crown of thorns shirt that says “Kill Your Idols” at the bottom. The other is this Charles Manson “Charlie Don’t Surf” shirt…
This 1964 photograph taken by Bruce Davidson of a Los Angeles drive-through became the cover art to The Beastie Boys 1994 classic album Ill Communication. Here’s The Beastie Boys album cover which they cropped and made it look a bot older.
By many accounts John Lennon’s childhood upright piano from his Aunt Mimi’s house was his favorite piano. In 1967, Lennon had the piano painted at his Kenwood home by Dutch “design collective” artists “The Fool”. Somehow without explanation, Lennon’s “The Fool” piano ended up and still resides at George Harrison’s Friar Park mansion.
Frances Bean Cobain was born August 18, 1992 and is the only daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love. Her father died when she was only 1 year and 8 months old. Here’s a photo of baby Frances with her father.
I’ve been wanting to start a “Paul Is Dead” section of feelnumb.com for quite a bit now. Here is our first story on clues to Paul McCartney’s supposed death in 1966. Here is the back cover of The Beatles album Abbey Road.
Josh Klinghoffer sometimes plays this 1965 Sunburst Fender Telecaster that was given to him by his friend John Frusciante whom he replaced in the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Here is a photo of John’s playing one of his Telecaster’s during a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert that shows his distinctive tape/grip job .
Lots of people love this really cool photo that has been making the rounds on the internet of Bob Dylan and John Lennon backstage smoking. The only problem is that it is a photoshop fake!!! Here is the picture of Lennon lighting up with Paul McCartney behind him backstage before a Beatles concert. No Bob!!!
Kurt Cobain once wore this cool “Punks Not Dead” shirt that shows a cartoon duck with a mohawk flipping the bird for a Nirvana photo shoot. It also seems like Kurt wrote “Kill The Grateful Dead” right above the duck’s middle finger.
