The Detroit home featured on the cover of the Eminem albums “The Marshall Mathers LP” (2000) and “The Marshall Mather LP 2” (2013) was actually the childhood home of Eminem aka Marshall Mathers.

Eminem and his mother Deborah Mathers moved into the home near the infamous “8 Mile” way back in 1987. Here’s Em sitting on the porch, then and now…
The home looked lived in when the first Marshall Mathers LP was released but was clearly abandoned when the second MMLP was released. Here’s the house address and what it looks like now…
19946 Dresden Street Detroit, Michigan 48205
UPDATE: On Thursday November 7, 2013 just days after the release of The Marshall Mathers LP 2, the house mysteriously caught fire and was left in ruins.
It would have been cool if the city of Detroit had preserved the Marshall Mathers house as a landmark. I’m sure plenty of hip hop and Eminem fans today and in the future would have checked it out.
