We all know Josh Homme is a bad ass!!! He’s started the band Kyuss, then went on to form Queens of the Stone Age and The Eagles of Death Metal. He joined forces with Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones to form Them Crooked Vultures all the while releasing 10 albums worth of material via his side project Desert Sessions which he recorded at legendary Rancho de la Luna in Joshua Tree.
He also owns Pink Duck Studios in Burbank California. Here’s a cool photo of the Pink Duck Studios tracking room.
Homme has some really cool paintings hanging on the walls but one of them, all the way in the back corner stood out to me. If you look close, you can see a painting of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Look at the photo behind Homme’s right shoulder…
Hell yeah Josh!!! I’m pretty sure the painting is based off of this famous MJ yellow vest photo from the Thriller era…
Josh loves to dance, maybe Michael is his inspiration…
