Lights… Camera… Revolution!, the fifth studio album by Los Angeles punk/metal legends Suicidal Tendencies was released 30 years ago today, on July 3, 1990. Apart from lead singer Mike Muir, Suicidal has had a constant, ever changing revolving door band line-up. The band members featured on this album and cover photo are what most ST fans consider to be the optimal and technically strongest line-up ever.

I was born in raised in Los Angeles so I always loved this album cover because I have driven past this building hundreds of times. The album cover photo was taken below at the Vista Theatre located at 4473 Sunset Drive in Los Feliz, California.
The Vista Theater was built in 1923 and is considered a local landmark. The theater appeared in the film True Romance (1993), as the place where Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette first meet and most recently in the music video for the Phrarrell Williams song “Happy“.
Here’s a screenshot from the music video that shows the exact Suicidal Tendencies album cover location.
