I look through thousands of photos of musicians, bands, guitars, etc, daily. As I was going through photos of the solo years of George Harrison, I kept seeing photos of him wearing a “FRANCE” shirt pop-up.
The cover art for George Harrison’s 1988 “When We Was Fab” single uses Harrison’s likeness from The Beatles “Revolver” album. You can even see the ER at the end of Revolver under Harrison’s right ear.
At the height of Beatlemania, The Beatles song “She Loves You” was parodied in an episode of The Flinstones. In episode “The Hatrocks and The Gruesomes” that first aired on January 22, 1965.
From May 20 to May 28, 1960, The Silver Beetles (as they were called at the time) toured Scotland, backing a young musician named Johnny Gentle. As part of this tour, the whole band decided to give themselves pseudonyms.
