Check out this rare photo of John Lennon hitting the streets with his main [1] Yoko Ono and his side May Pang [2]. The rare photo of the three together was taken in 1973 when May Pang was working as John & Yoko’s assistant and right before Lennon took of to Los Angeles with Pang for his infamous “lost weekend”.
John Lennon never intended to attend the start of The Beatles “Abbey Road” recording sessions on July 1 but the crash further delayed his return to London. After being discharged from the hospital he spent three days at home before finally rejoining The Beatles at Abbey Road Studios on July 9.
Malcolm “Mal” Evans is best known as the road manager, assistant, bodyguard and friend of The Beatles. As The Beatles gained popularity their manager Brian Epstein hired Evans to serve as their assistant road manager.

From May 20 to May 28, 1960, The Silver Beetles (as they were called at the time) toured Scotland, backing a young musician named Johnny Gentle. As part of this tour, the whole band decided to give themselves pseudonyms. Dee Dee then came up with the idea of naming the new band the Ramones and convinced the other members of the band to start using Ramone as their last name.
Pete Best, The Beatles original drummer was replaced by Ringo Starr on August 16, 1962. To commemorate his sacking, 20 years later on April 6, 1982, Best sported this “I’m Not Ringo” shirt for a photo shoot.
