Bon Scott and his friend Alistair Kinnear left the London club The Music Machine (since renamed Koko) at 3 AM on February 20, 1980 in Kinnear’s Renault 5 car. Upon arriving at the flat Kennear could not move Scott so he left him in the back of the car.
Buddy Holly had a very busy end to the year 1958. He married his wife Maria Elena in August and officially moved to New York in September. He then fired his manager and then officially left his band “The Crickets” in December. The newlyweds settled in at The Brevoort Apartment 11 Fifth Avenue Apt. 4H, New York, New York.

In 1978, Keith Moon was living in apartment number 9 Curzon Place, flat 12, in Mayfair, London. The flat was owned by Harry Nilsson and Moon had borrowed $10,000 form Pete Townshend to rent it. It is the very same place where Mama Cass Elliot of The Mamas And The Papas died in 1974 of heart failure.

In November of 1970, The Doors recorded their final album with Jim Morrison at “The Doors Workshop,” located at 8512 Santa Monica Blvd. West Hollywood, CA 90069. The building was previously an antique store before it served as the bands office and rehearsal space.
The Doors released the album Morrison Hotel on February 1, 1970. The cover photo was taken on December 17, 1969 by photographer Henry Diltz through a front window at the aptly named Morrison Hotel with a recently cleanly shaved Jim Morrison.
