Nirvana’s last show was on March 1, 1994 at Terminal 1 in Munich, Germany. Terminal 1 was the international airport of Munich, Germany until it was closed down on May 16, 1992, the day before the new airport opened. SInce then it has been used for concerts and raves.
On April 16, 1994 11 days after Kurt Cobain’s suicide, Pearl Jam appeared on Saturday Night Live. During “Daughter,” Eddie Vedder pulled back his jacket to reveal a large “K” written on his t-shirt.
Before Kurt Cobain committed suicide on on April 5, 1994, the police report states that he drank a Barq’s Root Beer and smoked some Camel Light cigarettes.
Dave Grohl only sang lead vocals on one Nirvana song, “Marigold” which was a b-side on the “Heart Shaped Box” single. Grohl did contribute a decent amount of background vocals on various Nirvana tracks.
