Rush released their 19th album “Clockwork Angels” on June 12, 2012. The album cover depicts a clock marked with alchemical symbols instead of numbers. In a cool nod to their ground breaking 1976 album “2112”, the time displayed shows 9:12 which in Military Time would be 21:12.
We previously did a story on Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson’s Barbie Doll Groupies & Dinosaur Toys on his amps and pedal boards. Now bass guitarist Mani has unveiled quite a “Toby Jug” collection on the top of his amps
Foo Fighters love Rush!!! Here’s a photo of Taylor Hawkins holding up the Rush logo for a picture. When the Foo Fighters played the Air Canado Centre in Toronto in 2009 at the end of Hawkins’ drum solo Dave Grohl announced that he wanted to introduce a couple of his friends.
On Rush’s “Time Machine Tour” the band used Alchemy Symbols on their tour logo and on the clock on the cover of the program…
Geddy Lee even put the alchemical symbol for Amalgamation on his bass that was used for the “U” in Rush on the logo…
During the Rush, “Snakes & Arrows” tour, Alex Lifeson’s pedal board had a bunch of “Barbie Dolls” groupies holding up post-it notes written by the roadies and crew
Beck is a fan of country music and must be a fan of Rush. He put a Rush 2112 sticker and a I ♥ Country Music on his ’62 Danelectro Silvertone guitar.
On Rush’s current 2010 Tour Geddy Lee has been wearing this “Rash” shirt…It’s an obvious play on “Rush” and actually pretty bad ass.
