Just before 10 p.m. on August 27th, 1965, Elvis’ manager Colonel Tom Parker and Memphis Mafia foreman Joe Esposito rode in limos over to The Beatles rented Benedict Canyon house to pick up John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, The Beatles manager Brian Epstein and road manager, Mal Evans for what would be a historical meeting.
This photo is the last photo of John Lennon and George Harrison together. It was taken at the Troubador nightclub in Los Angeles, California in mid November of 1974.
In watching a short film presented at the press conference that included footage of Ringo and Paul McCartney performing The Beatles song “Birthday” live for Starr’s 70th birthday on July 7, 2010, I noticed tattoos on each of Starr’s inner forearms.
At the height of Beatlemania, The Beatles song “She Loves You” was parodied in an episode of The Flinstones. In episode “The Hatrocks and The Gruesomes” that first aired on January 22, 1965.

Pete Best, The Beatles original drummer was replaced by Ringo Starr on August 16, 1962. To commemorate his sacking, 20 years later on April 6, 1982, Best sported this “I’m Not Ringo” shirt for a photo shoot.
In The Beatles Magical Mystery Tour film, as the group performs “I Am the Walrus” in the outdoors, there are several clues to his death. On page “13” of the Magical Mystery Tour album insert there is a photo of McCartney playing bass in his socks with his pair of bloody shoes next to him, which of course signifies death.
Today The Beatles celebrate the 50-year anniversary of the release of their first single “Love Me Do/P.S. I Love You” on EMI’s Parlophone label. The serial number for the release was 45-R 4949.
When The Beatles “Yellow Submarine” animated film was in production, there had been discussions about having each Beatle voice his own character but The Beatles had a lot going on at the time and it proved impossible to get all four into the studio together for the recording sessions.
The awesome photo used for the cover of Matin Scorsese’s George Harrison documentary “Living In The Material World” shows a fully clothed Harrison with just his head sticking out of a pool. After a bit of research I found out the photo was taken on February 23, 1965 at the Nassau Beach Hotel during the filming of The Beatles movie Help!
